- Typology: Rosso Toscana IGT
- Grape variety: Sangiovese and a small percentage of Merlot.
- Body: Full-bodied
- Perfumes and scents: The aroma is seductive, emanating juicy fruit and hints of aromatic herbs, rosemary, sage, and cinnamon. On the palate, it confirms expectations, with a juicy and intriguing sip. Freshness and tannins of refined texture, perfectly balanced. This wine aspires to be elegant, solid, and long-lived, just like every Medici villa.
- Pairings: Excellent with even the more structured dishes of Tuscan cuisine, as well as Italian cuisine in general.
- Winemaking: Fermentation in stainless steel and aging in concrete. It then rests in the bottle for at least 6 months.
- Details / Anecdotes: In the district of "Golpaja" (now Volpaia) stood the ancient Petriolo kiln, where bricks were made for the construction of the villa owned by Cosimo I de' Medici in Cerreto Guidi. A name and a vineyard deeply connected to the history of Cerreto Guidi and Tuscany.
