Informations on producer
For over six centuries, the Antinori family has been a leading figure in Italian winemaking, and they have chosen to invest in Maremma with a project that is both sustainable and deeply connected to the land: Tenuta Le Mortelle. Located near Castiglione della Pescaia, surrounded by unspoiled landscapes of gentle hills and the Tyrrhenian Sea, the estate embodies the perfect union of nature and innovation.
The name “Le Mortelle” comes from a shrub typical of the Mediterranean maquis, the myrtle, which grows here naturally and reflects the estate’s authentic connection to the land. The vineyards cover over 160 hectares and are farmed with respect for the environment, following the principles of certified organic agriculture.
The wines produced, such as Alicante, Botrosecco, and the refined Poggio alle Nane, are sincere expressions of Maremma: intense, sun-kissed, and at the same time elegant, able to convey the strength of this wild and generous land. The winery, carved into the hillside, combines functionality and aesthetics, with modern architecture that harmonizes with the surrounding environment while minimizing its ecological impact.
Choosing Le Mortelle means supporting a project that looks to the future without forgetting its roots, combining the soul of Maremma with the passion and expertise of the Antinori family.
