Details / Anecdotes: Aleaugust Cru was born in 2012 from a collaboration between Augusto Zuffa and Alessandro Marchionni. Chef Alessandro, who works across the entire national territory, was looking for a wine with soft and delicate characteristics, with notes of tobacco and pink pepper, to offer to the guests at his banquets. Thus, Alessandro (“Ale”) and Augusto (“August”) came together to create a new wine – the union of cuisine and wine proved to be a great success, so much so that it became Aleaugust, the best-selling product in Italy, China, the United States, and Europe.
Awards: One of the official wines of Expo 2015 representing Italy.
