Perfumes and scents: On the nose, it reveals notes of ripe fruit and white flowers, evolving first into aromatic herbs and then into mineral nuances. On the palate, it is fresh and full-bodied, soft and persistent, finishing with delicate hints of hazelnut and vanilla.
Pairings: A splendid aperitif, it pairs beautifully with meat or fish carpaccio, smoked salmon, seafood salads, and vegetable dishes. It is also delightful with dry pastries.
Winemaking: Gentle pressing of the grapes, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. After fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the lees through bâtonnage for a further 6 months. The Franciacorta is then prepared for tirage, initiating the secondary fermentation in bottle and aging on the lees for an average of 30 months.
