Sarmassa is our historic vineyard, the heart of the estate, and a unique Cru thanks to its varied exposures and soils. Not all the grapes from this historic cru are used in the composition of this wine—only those parcels that each year deliver the best results in vinification.

The Scarzello Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore 2022 is a wine that combines intensity and finesse, an authentic expression of the territory and the passion of the Scarzello winery. Crafted from carefully selected Barbera grapes, it shows a lively ruby red color. On the nose, it reveals aromas of cherry, stewed plum, and subtle spicy notes. On the palate, it is rich and smooth, with an elegant structure, silky tannins, and well-balanced freshness that provides harmony and persistence. It pairs perfectly with regional cuisine, roasted meats, braised dishes, meat-filled agnolotti, and aged cheeses.
